CANARY YELLOW CHELLO
Philthy Rich Records artist, Canary Yellow Chello's, rise in the rap "game" DID NOT start with a huge paycheck from his boss, partner, and one of the greatest athletes to ever live, Floyd Mayweather. Nothing comes easy. Born, Marchello Sylvester, he soon found life as just another child in Grand Rapids, Michigan not quite decent enough. Born to a father who was a known hustler, pimp, and even had a reputation for maintaining several "baby casinos" around Grand Rapids, and a mother who maintained a heavy drug habit, Chello soon developed a hunger unparalelled with anybody of his age. He saw the rise to prominence necessary, and eventually, inevitable. Soon, Marchello found himself down the same path as his father, hustling every dollar. By 1989, he began selling drugs to men three times his age. Everything was smooth until 1994, when he was arrested and charged with possession of a .38 caliber pistol and 14 grams of crack cocaine . While serving his sentence at Kent County Juvenile Detention Center, Chello soon found what he thought only as a gift at the time, as a way out of a life of misdirection. The art of rhyme and poetry. RAP. After his release, and now going under the moniker Canary Yellow Chello, Chello fine-tuned his skills to a level most in the Mid-West had not seen at the time. Shortly after his first project, called THE UNION, which did well among the streets of Grand Rapids, Canary Yellow Chello was set on switching his hustle up for good, and becoming one of the greatest of his time. In 2001, he went on to become founder of his own label, Hot 2 Death Records in 2001 with his older cousin, Ernest Gordon. Realizing it was just the right time to "rise to prominence" Canary Yellow Chello soon signed with life-long friend Floyd Mayweather Jr. (Chello and Floyd had grown up together in their early years, Chello was only 5, and Floyd 9) under his label, Philthy Rich Records. Canary Yellow Chello is now prepping his debut album under Philthy Rich Records, as well as supplying the mixtape circuit with constant material.
